About Us

Starting out as a small roadside stand, selling sweetcorn out of the back of a pick-up truck, we have grown into a year-round garden center.  Buxton's Garden Farm & Flower shop has grown in our services and products to who we are today. Found on Rte. 121, 3 miles west of Sullivan, IL, we are a great small town business continually growing and changing.

Services

In the Spring we offer annual and perennial flowers as well as vegetable and fruit seeds that are for sale.  During the Spring we are also busy preparing all of the fresh vegetables such as tomatoes, sweetcorn, potatoes, green beans, strawberries, peppers, onions, watermelon, cantaloupe, and much more that are available in late Spring and through the Summer and Fall Months.

Fall is our busiest time of the year. We provide an assortment of activities such as hayrides, the amazing Buxton's Corn Maize, the Jump-Jump (an inflatable bouncy pillow) as well as a great location for parties/cookouts.  We also have pumpkins, gourds, kettle corn, fresh apple cider and a large assortment of gorgeous mums on sale.

In the Winter we are geared up for the Holiday season with a variety of live Christmas trees, wreaths, swags, grave pillows & blankets, all created here to help you decorate for the holidays.

Throughout the year flower bouqets are readily available for any occasion such as birthdays, anniversaries, funeral arrangements, proms, weddings, or "just because".

History

In 1997, we built what we called "The Shed" on a 21 acre farm right off of Rte. 121.  It had a rock floor and we sold just enough vegetables to keep the kids busy in the afternoons.   Over the years we have grown and now have four greenhouses in addition to our little "shed" that is now well known as "Buxton's Garden Farm and Flower Shop."
